Who needs an agent ... ??

Right, I've just been reading the Sky Sports website and came across n interseting article. It's about Chris Powell and his ongoing transfer to West Ham. In it his agent gets quoted. His agent being one Tony Finnigan, who I used to play 5 a side with a few years back and has played for Palarse in his time.

It seems that Chrissy has snubbed the deal as he is not happy with the wages being put forward by the East London, Championship club.

Powell's agent Tony Finnigan insists the left back is prepared to take a pay cut to join West Ham but is holding out for a satisfactory deal.

"If you pay peanuts you get monkeys," said Finnigan.

"Powell's played for England and he's coming from Charlton, not Northampton.

Now how funny is this? You pay peanuts you get, er Darren Powell, Gavin Willaims, Teddy Sherringham. Now I wonder if Paulo would like to go back there ??
