Well still no football to write home about. No transfer speculation, the windows shut ... and all we get to talk about is how the England players have thrown their toys out of the pram.
"We don't want to talk to the press!!!"
"All they do is have a go at us, so we are all sticking together ..."
Yep, the old siege mentality kicks in again, the same as when Rio got banned. Do they never learn?
So the Sun have gone over the top with the David James v the Donkey. But it's the Sun, they've been doing it for years, remember Hillsborough. Beckham and the likes actually court publicity, so whats the problem ... unless you're Gary Neville that is!!!
There's another 9/11 Conspiracy programme on tonight. I just get the feeling that we've gone full circle and the sympathy is slowly ebing away. Having sat drinking under Canary Wharf a few days ago, I can only imagine what the site and sounds of 9/11 were like.
So Ryanair are giving away over 3 million flights. Strange that the old airport taxes seem to have gone up. But a return to Blackpool for £25 can't be bad ... dependant on where your looking really.
The cricket season is slowly coming to an end, well my season is. It's the last game on Saturday and we only have 6 players. No captain, no people to do the teas ... I might have to get the bread knife out myself. It's all about organisation boys ... we need to get it sorted. Hear me now ...
A letter in the Metro is stating how much holiday teachers get. In fact it states they get better holidays than the rest of us. Now when I think of the grief that my Mum had to put up with as a teacher. Ill mannered children, ungrateful parents, holidays yeah right ... you have to plan for the school year, so those fabled 6 weeks are in reality a couple of days. Then if you want to go away, it's er ... in the school holidays, so everything is so much more expensive. All on a minimum wage ...
Oh, and before I forget ... Mr Wawning was back on the train this morning. Put ya hand up ...

Re: 9/11
When did that happen?
The 9th of November
Couldn't agree with you more on the teacher front Ric. My better half is a teacher and she works twice as hard as anyone I know and is constantly dealing with the stresses of life in the classroom regardless of whether she's actually there or not. And the only real holiday they get is the six weeks in the summer because the various other half and end of term breaks are mostly spent working on marking/future lesson plans/reports anyway. And if people think that six weeks is too much holiday anyway, they should try earning a teacher's wage.
