We're off and running

Well there we go. The weather hit a high of 84 degrees in Germany nicely giving Sven an excuse to the lacklustre performance. The weather was about 80ish over at Canary Wharf on Saturday as 600 revellers enjoyed the game. It was mostly good natured came the report. Mostly!!!!!! Until 200 blokes/ gals started throwing beer, fighting and doing that suburban Saturday night thing. It makes you proud. Oh and not a Paraguayan in sight.

As for the football, apart from the Argies and the Ivorians who were unlucky to lose, it's been a bit of a tame afair. England, Holland both won but didnt set the world alight. Sweden ... well Kev may get a game for them yet. All power to T&T, but England will beat them, and progress to phase 2.

I'm looking forward to Italy/ Ghana tonight.

It was my weekend as white van driver man. Up at 8 on Saturday, around the South Circular, back through the Blackwell Tunnell, over to Lakeside. Blimey, my left foot aches from using a van with manual transmission. All power to power steering. It was good to sit out in the sun yesterday, if only under a beer umbrella, sipping Vodka for Keeleys birthday. I do like Hoxton. It's dirty, dark, dingey and smells ... that's what Londons all about. It puts Manchester and Liverpool to shame.

My tune of the day: Wanted Dead or Alive - Voices of East Harlem
