A week in showbusiness ...

Is a bleedin' long time.

At 3:45 last Saturday (two weeks ago) we were up shite creek. We could have only dreamed of what was going to happen!!!! Three second half goals, a great League Cup game, a victory over Jordans lot, whooopy dooo. Good old Toddy. Thanks for that mate.

The scaffolding has come down at work just in time for the evenings to draw in. It's getting decidedly colder. Have you noticed?

No footie for two weeks ... how good is that?

There's a few One day matches left in the cricket, but it gets dragged out somewhat.

Wet and warm ...

Slug Infestation

Half my gardens has been eaten by snails/ slugs. It's a nightmare. Slug pellets!!! Do they actually work?

It's actually nice weather to watch footie in. England and Germany anyone?

If only England could match the cricket team ... a resounding victory yesterday.

It's Carnival at the weekend. Dancing in the sun ... yeah right.

Commuting

It's been a while since I had a moan!!!!

Why are people generally rude when they do the commute? We are all going to and from work, is there a need to push, shove, stink, carry ruck-sacks?

This morning there were a few stinkers. You've had the weekend to take a bath, buy some clean pants, maybe some deoderant. It's not nice. There were also some shovers. We are all crammed into the trains, then you find some one, usually wearing a rucksack will push on at the last moment, then want to read their paper. You have a rucksack in your back and a paper rested on your shoulder. Happy Mondays!!!! I'm not sure why people can't be polite to each other, I tread on your foot so I'll say sorry ... it's not hard is it.

So the Addicks got beaten on Saturday. I'm not sure I like this standard of football. But maybe I'm going into this with my eyes closed.

Hello

What a couple of hapy chappies!!! However I have to take umbridge at the "Catford" Kit. It's a leisure top and not a football kit. It's been designed to go with Jeans. We shouild wear a white or yellow kit. I have to admit I liked the bright Watford red away kit they wore at WOLVES. A kit should be a kit that you can see out the corner of your eye. It's a football kit remember.

Blog, blog ... blogging along ...

Along ...

Well it made me chuckle.

Have you noticed how many Charlton Blogs there are nowadays? Maybe you haven't because Charlton just isn't your thing, but trust me there are a shed load. Some of them have really interesting names ... like the A2 Addicks, or Voice from the West, then we have From the Hill to the Valley, Addicks Championship Diary and the original unofficial news port and still the best Al Quiet in the East Stand. However I must urge the Inspector to get off his ass and start putting some news up, as Luke Young has long gone. The thing with these blogs is that they all rehsh the same news. Diawara is going, so is Thomas, no it's Mullins who's coming and Andrew Cole.

It's quite strange but we end up with internet warriors.

There's a Trafalgar Square festival on this weekend!!!! And a Shoreditch Festival, with Har Ma Superstar. OoOhhhh can't wait.

Have you noticed how Facebook has meant people don't phone as much!!!!

Anyway it's the last free Saturday before the season starts next week. We do have a match against Braga but I think I'll go and enjoy the sun. A straw hat, and strawberry mivvi.

That time of year

It's that time when I look to upgrade my phone. I was looking at the N95, but it's a big old lump. But 5 mp camera and 2GB memory, it may be the one.

Respect to Mike Reid who passed away yesterday.

The Haddocks rolled down to Jillingham on Saturday and played reasonably well. A 5-0 victory is what we want especially since the FA Cup defeat and the 0-0 down there few seasons ago. Now if we could get a combative midfielder, a 30 goal a season striker, we may be laughing.

I've been keeping up with the goings on down at Welling. A new manager, but all the players have left. It seems they are going to have it hard this season.

England have drawn level in the cricket. Quite a good effort from Vaughan and Colley.

Whoops Vaughan just out!!!!

I think I may watch Heros tonight ...

It's a new day

It's been a long weekend ...

Up to Blackpool on Friday afternoon for of the Fleetwood doo's. We stopped on route to help Les put the Marque up. Of course it was raining and I was in shoes. Scot was down from Glasgow with three bottles of Buckfast. Wendal and Woody were on form so we had a giggle. I am now knackered, and actually need my bed.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the boys from Brazil won the Copa. I was sure Argentina would triumph. Hey, it's a funny old game.

The cricket starts on Thursday. In the rain ... I'm sure England will win the toss and put the Indians in.

No more new signings as the squad move off to Spain ...

I need a holiday.

The General Public

Have you noticed how often people yawn in public. I don't mean just yawn, but a full on open face yawn, with no hand over their mouth!!!!!!! This is after a night of garlic eating. It happened about three times this morning. Twice on the Gove Park line and once of the tube. Rude people.

Did I mention that the West Indies won the one day series. A lovely unexpected performance. Kevin Pieterson, the best one day player in the world?

It's the first friendly of the year tomorrow. Wellings Park View Road. It'll rain.

It's been a wet few weeks. Mainly due to the fact that I bought some garden furniture.

Another day in Paradise

It's been a long week. It could be over a week since I last posted. Times have changed indeed.

A new PM. Baby Bent has departed for White Hary Lane, Marcus is still on holibobs. The West Indies won a game of cricket, even if it was only a 20 20 slog. Chris Benoit killed his wife, child and himself. The West Indies won a cricket match.

Against England.

It's been a long week, and the end of June. THE RAIN HASN'T STOPPED, I need some sun. Lst year we had a hose pipe ban. That's laughable.

I've not been able to wear my fedora or sunnies.

It's France soon though.

Cricket

Well it seems a little sad that the West Indies have turned into a side not a patch on the teams of old. Oh well, at least I don't have to spend money on going to watch them ...

So Radostan Kishishev has moved on. Seven years he plyed his trade with us, and good luck to him. I had a quick look on the Leicester rivals site on what they thought and there was an air of contempt about it really. Not a name, oh another defender ... blah, blah. Who'd be a footballer?

It rained tonight. And ruined my herb garden. Blimey ... summers here.

Is it me or are people getting fatter? For the last 3 days I've had a right fat sod sit next to me on the train on my way home. They want their seat and half of mine. Sod off.

Curbing his enthusiasm

Yep, Baby Bent went and told them where to get off. He doesn't want to waste his time at the Spam when he could be down Edmonton, strutting. There's a great Thai in Stokie as well, which may have caught his eye.

It's all about opportunity. 30, 40, 50 grand a week!!!! Does it matter? He's better of playing for Liverpool on 35 grand than Wet Sham on 70. Swings etc, swings.

Another weekend rolls into town. Nothing planned apart from the cricket ....

I just want a lie i tomorrow ...

The Unknown Soldier

You can tell we've been in the Prem too long. We signed one Paddy McCarthy, and I've never heard of him. Unlike your Souleyman Diawarra, and yer Tala El Kharkouri. A no nonsense player, whatever that means!!!

Now it's made me smile the reaction that Graham Poll got to his video diary of the season shown on Inside Sport earlier this week. OoOhhhh he actually is human, he was able to show the family side of the man. Yeah, yeah .... bullshit. We've all seen Poll the entertainer strutting round. You know what you are going to get. It was Poll first everyone else a close runner up. Good riddance.

It's June, it's the Third test and there is no sign of sunshine. Global warming my ass.

I'm still looking for a plumber if you know one?

Big Brother

So the word is that no one want to watch it. A bunch of freaks, wannabees, fakers ... well we all know we will be hooked. We'll watch them all in. And watch them out one by one.

Jesus.

Graham Poll. Now there's a name to conjure with. There's a song that they all sing? I can't remember how it goes, but it sums him up exactly. The back pages are full of his chirping. Now I'm sure it was him that dished out 3 yellow cards to the Croat. It was the pinnacle of his career, what any referee would aspire to do. But he fcuked it. Poor old Poll, what a f'n assehole.

I've been growing my beard. I've booked a cut throat shave tomorrow so I can see the benefits. I can't wait. It's gone all fluffy.

It's still raining out. Of course I've had clothes on the line for about 4 days now.

My tune of the day: Brown Girl in the Ring - Boney M

Rain

Didn't it just!!!!!

Football, cricket and a BBQ were planned for this weekend. Hey ho. The BBQ went well although in-doors, Blackpool won the footie in the rain, and the rain eased off so the Wet Indies could sucumb. Ho humb.

So it'll be a mad rush for Blackpool tickets next season!!! They have nine thousand capacity and already half the Charlton are planning long weekends. Maybe not in January though.

Bluewater on a Bank Holiday Monday, not my dea of heaven.

Ikea .. what a bunchm of turnips. There I am putting a a wardrobe togther, and it collapses. On my foot. Bring it back they say!!!! It's a wardrobe!!!! I hired a van to get it in the first place. So no more Ikea for me ... they can stick their tea tree lights.
