It suddenly dawned on me!!!
What is all this blogging malarcky, and why does every man and his dog do it?
It seems strange that over the course of 2 maybe 3 years there have been 10 stroke 20 Charlton blogs appear. But when you realise that 20 thousand individuals sit through the nonsence on a saturday, you could argue that on a good day there would be 20 thousand blogs. Each one with a slightly different view untilthe difference in the first and the last is so vast you wonder what match you had been watching.
I got that feeling when I saw a few posts exclaiming that we had missed out on Greg Halford!!!! Good player etc, etc ... should have got him on loan etc, etc. Well not from the seat I was sat in last season ... NO. Let the lumox go to Sheffield (he even said Charlton were the only team he would go to in the Championship) and let them Northern Monkies enjoy the fruits of his labour, or long throws to you and me.
I bet Halford even carries a bloody great rucksack on the tube.

Missing the boat ...
I suppose periodical postings over the past 12-15 months doesnt do anyone any favours. Why should anyone come back here to read the crazed ramblings of a 27 year old?
I can remember when I was in Phillie desperately trying to find an internet cafe so I could post my thoughts.
Oh how times change.
However, I've just received an email telling me my domain is up for renewal. Do I pay for another two years or just give in? My head says sod it and so does my heart!!! But you know what ... I think I'm going to carry this on. I really do.
I think I need to start spending time letting people know how I'm feeling.

Lewisham twinned with Beirut
The following is an email I received from the Freeholders managing agents in regards to some works/ damage at my flat. Five years worth of gardening ruined by scaffolders.
Dear Richard,
Thanks for your email of 14th April.
I did visit the premises and attach hereto a copy of the picture of the front garden from which I can see, probably two lavender bushes that appear to have been trodden down. Did you actually see the scaffolders do this? Or could it possibly have been local yobs? I know what your argument is but it is a bit difficult for me to tell the scaffolders they did something if they were not seen doing this, if you get my point.
May I suggest that we wait to see if the lavenders will grow again before making any further comment? Usually plants are quite hardy. I can see your lavenders have been well-established, but they may well grow again. Alteratively, why not plant some young lavenders at a reasonable cost, which will then grow in due course and I will approach the builder for this? I cannot really go to them at a figure of £200 as I am sure you will appreciate.
I am happy to get an estimate to replace the front path with Victorian tiles if you want, to put it back as it was built over a hundred years ago and also I am happy to get an estimate for taking down the entire wall down to it̢۪s foundation and to re-build this. You will know that the wall was rebuilt after it was knocked down by yobbos using existing bricks where possible. It wasn̢۪t fully taken down in any event but just rebuilt from the bricks that had been knocked out plus a few new ones.
We really are trying to help you in all matters. I have certainly been to the property now three times in the last six months, we have attended to all the complaints. I understand that the roof complaint was not a leak, in the area where the chimney was taken down but a leak at the front of the building where the flashings were fixed and this was several weeks after it was repaired so my suggestion is that it is possible that this is slipped slates caused by recent high winds which our roofing company will check.
With kind regards,

Trains, Planes and delays ...
I was walking across the concourse at Charing Cross this morning. As I reached the bit by platform 5 stroke 6 there was a throng, no a plethora of suits. Some with clipboards, some with shoes. It appeared to be some sort of meet the management forum, but hey ... who knows? Anyway there were a few punters, but not many. It wasn't advertised, there was no one there telling people what it was ... just a typical Network Rail fuck up.
I've been lax again folks, but I've realised that I've still got shed loads to chat about. So if you can bare with me ...

More than one greedy b*stard
Well it's the end of the transfer window. The end of another month of will they, wont they stories. And typically on the last day one of our better players seems to be off. Yeah, the sicknote Andy Reid, the little short fat Irish bloke who looks like he should be a wrestler and not a footballer. Anyway, we've accepted 4 mill, the word is that it was too good a deal to turn round, then Mr E puts an email into the mix. There seems to be more than one greedy bastard.
Well I hope Andy Reid gets everything coming to him.
Chris Dickson is also out for a few months. Too much dancing!!!!!!!!
The trains have been heaving over the last few days .... at least I can usually get a seat at Charing Cross. However there is still the rucksacks and the smell.
If you haven't already make sure you visit John Lewis foodhall. Quality ...

Slow connection
The problem is, is that once you've been away for a period of time ... no one knows when you come back. I can remember when I had quite a few people reading this site, and was even featured in the London lite, but now its just Cooksley.
Maybe I should be controversial, maybe re advertise ... spread the word, or maybe just not bother.
I could start concentrating my thoughts more towards Charlton, maybe towards the state of the feral youth in London, maybe cricket and the Aussie domination. Or maybe I should just continue with the rucksack, garlic moaning.
It's blogging for bloggings sake, and I don't really see whats wrong with that!!!!!!!

Football
So there I was watching the Watford/ Charlton game on Saturday. I was tucking into stewed chicken, rice and peas and one after shot after shot Watford went and scored. Talk about against the run of play. So we huffed and puffed I went to get a drink and what happened Yep, we went an equalised. Now it was a hard game played in drizzling rain, but that pitch. It was an allotment. It's that egg chasing they do on it.
Watford can go do one.
There's a thread on Charltonlife about what is RnB ... or Rhythm and blues to the uneducated. Somehow people expectation of RnB is old 40's and 50's maybe some 60's 2Soul" Music, but anything new can't be or isn't.

Am I in some weird science parallel universe. Concensus is that they'll let in 4 goals and score 5. Bollocks. Give it 8 months ... they'll be exactly where they are now and Shearer will be the next muppet.

Questions ...
What is shabby chic?
Why do commuters still pish me off?
Why do I pace around when listening to Charlton on the radio?
Does all flat packed furniture turn up with bits missing?
Why do people stink in the morning (yes the rucksack carrying ones)?
Just a few questions that have been bugging me. I've been looking for a new bed. I fancied something French, maybe Loius XV .... but it's all shabby chic!!!!
Shabby Chic

Weird
So I'm reading the paper this morning, and there's a small piece about Dean Kiely warning Pards to ditch the mind games. All because Deano was forced to wear a grey shirt in the match at the Valley a week or so ago!!!!
Blimey, what a load of bollocks. KIELY MOVE ON.
I'm actually trying bit by bit to keep this going, but there are so many blogs/bloggers/ toerags and vagabonds out there that it's hard. There must be at least 5,654 Charlton blogs now, all saying the same same shite. Marks out of ten for Matty Holland, Pards is putting in a bid for Andy Gray, no not that one ... yadda, yadda. So what!!! Frankie Vallie bemoans that there was a minutes applause for Charlton people who had passed away, he couldn't give a flying by the sounds of it, and he's backed up by the blogger Drinking during the game, who by the name can't go an hour and a half stroke two hours without drinking, and maybe having a pie, a crepe or or fruit salad. It's two freaking hours ... sit your ass down.
Another thing, we were 4-1 up on Saturday, the board went up for 4 minutes additional time and half the ground got up to go. The Upper North started with "We can see you sneaking out" but it was more a route march than a sneak. Fuck me, give the boys a clap off ... the Generation Game has finished you know!!!!

New Years resolutions ...
As Cooksley said obviously not.
Yep there was me planning to start doing this again, and a week later it fell by the way side. Ho hum!!! Well it's a start.
It's that time of year when all and sundry pop down the gym. Sod that I say. Wait until mid Feb. But hang on ... have you noticed how many fat people are still about? If you are lucky enough to get a seat on the train, 9 times out of 10 some fat sod will plonk themselves down next to you. Taking half your arm with them. And they are always eating !!!!!! ALWAYS ...
The smell as well ...
It's a big game tomorrow ... Blackpool. Oh I can't wait.
If you had the chance to read the Sun today, make sure you read Jon Gaunts page. It is still remarkable how people like him, James Whale and the like get the freedom to spout their shite. He put a supposed email on his page today. From some random named Lucy. Supposedly she has illustrated what is wrong with Britain today. He indicates that we should look after the Lucy's of this world and of course her hubby Gary, rather than the feral, feckless foreigners and freeloaders!!!! The email moved him to tears.
You can read it here ...
Unfortunately Lucy and Gary can't go on holiday, or go out much, buy new clothes, or have a treat.

A week in showbusiness ...
Is a bleedin' long time.
At 3:45 last Saturday (two weeks ago) we were up shite creek. We could have only dreamed of what was going to happen!!!! Three second half goals, a great League Cup game, a victory over Jordans lot, whooopy dooo. Good old Toddy. Thanks for that mate.
The scaffolding has come down at work just in time for the evenings to draw in. It's getting decidedly colder. Have you noticed?

Commuting
It's been a while since I had a moan!!!!
Why are people generally rude when they do the commute? We are all going to and from work, is there a need to push, shove, stink, carry ruck-sacks?
This morning there were a few stinkers. You've had the weekend to take a bath, buy some clean pants, maybe some deoderant. It's not nice. There were also some shovers. We are all crammed into the trains, then you find some one, usually wearing a rucksack will push on at the last moment, then want to read their paper. You have a rucksack in your back and a paper rested on your shoulder. Happy Mondays!!!! I'm not sure why people can't be polite to each other, I tread on your foot so I'll say sorry ... it's not hard is it.
So the Addicks got beaten on Saturday. I'm not sure I like this standard of football. But maybe I'm going into this with my eyes closed.

Hello

What a couple of hapy chappies!!! However I have to take umbridge at the "Catford" Kit. It's a leisure top and not a football kit. It's been designed to go with Jeans. We shouild wear a white or yellow kit. I have to admit I liked the bright Watford red away kit they wore at WOLVES. A kit should be a kit that you can see out the corner of your eye. It's a football kit remember.

Blog, blog ... blogging along ...
Along ...
Well it made me chuckle.
Have you noticed how many Charlton Blogs there are nowadays? Maybe you haven't because Charlton just isn't your thing, but trust me there are a shed load. Some of them have really interesting names ... like the A2 Addicks, or Voice from the West, then we have From the Hill to the Valley, Addicks Championship Diary and the original unofficial news port and still the best Al Quiet in the East Stand. However I must urge the Inspector to get off his ass and start putting some news up, as Luke Young has long gone. The thing with these blogs is that they all rehsh the same news. Diawara is going, so is Thomas, no it's Mullins who's coming and Andrew Cole.
It's quite strange but we end up with internet warriors.
There's a Trafalgar Square festival on this weekend!!!! And a Shoreditch Festival, with Har Ma Superstar. OoOhhhh can't wait.
Have you noticed how Facebook has meant people don't phone as much!!!!
Anyway it's the last free Saturday before the season starts next week. We do have a match against Braga but I think I'll go and enjoy the sun. A straw hat, and strawberry mivvi.

That time of year
It's that time when I look to upgrade my phone. I was looking at the N95, but it's a big old lump. But 5 mp camera and 2GB memory, it may be the one.
Respect to Mike Reid who passed away yesterday.
The Haddocks rolled down to Jillingham on Saturday and played reasonably well. A 5-0 victory is what we want especially since the FA Cup defeat and the 0-0 down there few seasons ago. Now if we could get a combative midfielder, a 30 goal a season striker, we may be laughing.
I've been keeping up with the goings on down at Welling. A new manager, but all the players have left. It seems they are going to have it hard this season.
England have drawn level in the cricket. Quite a good effort from Vaughan and Colley.
Whoops Vaughan just out!!!!

It's a new day
It's been a long weekend ...
Up to Blackpool on Friday afternoon for of the Fleetwood doo's. We stopped on route to help Les put the Marque up. Of course it was raining and I was in shoes. Scot was down from Glasgow with three bottles of Buckfast. Wendal and Woody were on form so we had a giggle. I am now knackered, and actually need my bed.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that the boys from Brazil won the Copa. I was sure Argentina would triumph. Hey, it's a funny old game.
The cricket starts on Thursday. In the rain ... I'm sure England will win the toss and put the Indians in.
No more new signings as the squad move off to Spain ...
I need a holiday.

The General Public
Have you noticed how often people yawn in public. I don't mean just yawn, but a full on open face yawn, with no hand over their mouth!!!!!!! This is after a night of garlic eating. It happened about three times this morning. Twice on the Gove Park line and once of the tube. Rude people.
Did I mention that the West Indies won the one day series. A lovely unexpected performance. Kevin Pieterson, the best one day player in the world?
It's the first friendly of the year tomorrow. Wellings Park View Road. It'll rain.
It's been a wet few weeks. Mainly due to the fact that I bought some garden furniture.

Another day in Paradise
It's been a long week. It could be over a week since I last posted. Times have changed indeed.
A new PM. Baby Bent has departed for White Hary Lane, Marcus is still on holibobs. The West Indies won a game of cricket, even if it was only a 20 20 slog. Chris Benoit killed his wife, child and himself. The West Indies won a cricket match.
Against England.
It's been a long week, and the end of June. THE RAIN HASN'T STOPPED, I need some sun. Lst year we had a hose pipe ban. That's laughable.
I've not been able to wear my fedora or sunnies.
It's France soon though.

Cricket
Well it seems a little sad that the West Indies have turned into a side not a patch on the teams of old. Oh well, at least I don't have to spend money on going to watch them ...
So Radostan Kishishev has moved on. Seven years he plyed his trade with us, and good luck to him. I had a quick look on the Leicester rivals site on what they thought and there was an air of contempt about it really. Not a name, oh another defender ... blah, blah. Who'd be a footballer?
It rained tonight. And ruined my herb garden. Blimey ... summers here.
Is it me or are people getting fatter? For the last 3 days I've had a right fat sod sit next to me on the train on my way home. They want their seat and half of mine. Sod off.

Curbing his enthusiasm
Yep, Baby Bent went and told them where to get off. He doesn't want to waste his time at the Spam when he could be down Edmonton, strutting. There's a great Thai in Stokie as well, which may have caught his eye.
It's all about opportunity. 30, 40, 50 grand a week!!!! Does it matter? He's better of playing for Liverpool on 35 grand than Wet Sham on 70. Swings etc, swings.
Another weekend rolls into town. Nothing planned apart from the cricket ....

The Unknown Soldier
You can tell we've been in the Prem too long. We signed one Paddy McCarthy, and I've never heard of him. Unlike your Souleyman Diawarra, and yer Tala El Kharkouri. A no nonsense player, whatever that means!!!
Now it's made me smile the reaction that Graham Poll got to his video diary of the season shown on Inside Sport earlier this week. OoOhhhh he actually is human, he was able to show the family side of the man. Yeah, yeah .... bullshit. We've all seen Poll the entertainer strutting round. You know what you are going to get. It was Poll first everyone else a close runner up. Good riddance.

Big Brother
So the word is that no one want to watch it. A bunch of freaks, wannabees, fakers ... well we all know we will be hooked. We'll watch them all in. And watch them out one by one.
Jesus.
Graham Poll. Now there's a name to conjure with. There's a song that they all sing? I can't remember how it goes, but it sums him up exactly. The back pages are full of his chirping. Now I'm sure it was him that dished out 3 yellow cards to the Croat. It was the pinnacle of his career, what any referee would aspire to do. But he fcuked it. Poor old Poll, what a f'n assehole.
I've been growing my beard. I've booked a cut throat shave tomorrow so I can see the benefits. I can't wait. It's gone all fluffy.
It's still raining out. Of course I've had clothes on the line for about 4 days now.

Rain
Didn't it just!!!!!
Football, cricket and a BBQ were planned for this weekend. Hey ho. The BBQ went well although in-doors, Blackpool won the footie in the rain, and the rain eased off so the Wet Indies could sucumb. Ho humb.
So it'll be a mad rush for Blackpool tickets next season!!! They have nine thousand capacity and already half the Charlton are planning long weekends. Maybe not in January though.
Bluewater on a Bank Holiday Monday, not my dea of heaven.
Ikea .. what a bunchm of turnips. There I am putting a a wardrobe togther, and it collapses. On my foot. Bring it back they say!!!! It's a wardrobe!!!! I hired a van to get it in the first place. So no more Ikea for me ... they can stick their tea tree lights.

Operation Relegation
We came, we saw we conquered ... NOT!!!
Oh well, Seven years in the promised land, is all Martin Luther King could have wished. But we went out with a wimper, and what a wimper at that. One leave victory away from home since October 2005. That's relegaion for you. I'm not sure why we should suddenly turn it all around in the Championship, it's either the Birmingham way or the highway.
Southport is once again on us. Even Tim has been a little lethargic with his enjoyment of the upcoming event. Maybe Leeds have finally got to him?
It's grim up North. Matter of fact. Tash had her passport holder niked last weekend, and Debbie a lippy. Straight from their bags. I told her top wear a bum bag, she didn't heed my advice.
A nice afternoon was spent on Sunday at the Non Boat Party, After Party. Don't ask.
Somehow I ended up in Ikea Edmonton on Sunday morning. It's oooooh so different from Lakeside. It's what, 10 miles away and it's a whole world apart.

April Showers
Well I said I was going to spend a bit longer doing this, and what happens? Yet, a case of "can't be arsed" disease. It hits us all.
It's been a weird month. I was twenty seven. I read the papers and it's full of Marcus Bent and that scouser who was on Celebrity Big Brother. It must be his intelllect that attracts him to her. His got a large tatoo across his arm that says, wait for it ...... easy tiger, ** no not that **, it says,
MARCUS ...
Is that in case he forgets who he is? Maybe!!!!
We completely ballsed it up against Sheffield United. It's a VERY strange game this football. Every single person has different ideas, and believes they are correct. Take the Dowie years. When I saw Iain Dowie stands arms folded as Foolham changed their tactics and beat us back in October, or whenever it was, I knew that he wasn't up to it. He's since taken Coventry by storm, only they haven't won in 7, and maybe, just maybe are beginning to see the wood for the trees. Pards has come in and again talks a great game. The club are back on an even kiel but I question his tacticl nouse when he was outmanouvred against United on Saturday. Warnock changed things around about 3 times during the game. Pards huffed and puffed and missed the chanc to effect the result when we went a goal up. He should have made Thatcher go down and stay down until the ref stopped the game. Screaming and shouting if need be.
Oh well Welling have cocked it up as well. I went to Princes Park to watch them against Basingstoke last week. I wish I hadnt bothered.
I'm sur no one reads this anymor, so asking questions is pointless. Anyway, does anyone know of a good handyman local. I need to fit a cat flap, and I'm not going to do it. I also need a new bathroom fitted, but that's another question.
Has the cricket World Cup finished yet? It has for the West Indies and England. Onlt a month til they play over here. Can't wait.

Your names down, but your not coming in .......
Well I could apologise but I'm sure there won't be anyone reading this. Why should you, it's been weeks, maybe a month. But I needed the break, I was lacking in things to say, and with my twenty seventh coming up I had things to plan. As Chicago Addick mentioned it's the Cricket World Cup, and people have died. There's got to be something to say? I was even left out of the Charlton Blog love in. My name was down, but when push comes to shove I ain't a minor celebrity. I bet Vince was there!!!!
I watched the West Indies blow their chances in the cricket tonight. Two games over the course of three days and England haven't played for 5 days. That's a good one. I went over the Offy tonight and the Indian proprietor started telling me how you could tell that Cricket was run by the "White Man". His words not mine. The fact that India fucked it up, maybe hurt him more. But the critisism of malinga on Charlton Life made me laugh. He bowls like Jeff Thomson said one, no he doesn't says another. Well he bowls like Malinga, and he's a damn fine bowler at that. Get over it. With regards to the Bob Woolmer affair, that's a damn hard one. Yes we've all had the Pakistan are taking up Bob sleighing joke, but what happened has to be investigated. Let the Police get on with it, and tell us once they know what's what. And as for the Met Police saying they are willing to help, get your own house in order.
As I walked through Charing Cross this morning I was taken as it was another meet the Manager morning. Ten, maybe eleven South Eastern Train Managers, suited and booted and milling around. Should I? No sod it. The trains are always late!!! Any comments? The trains are always overcrowded!!! Comment? The trains smell of shite!! Clean them? I bet they all turned up in their cars, congestion charge paid for. Maybe next time.
As I said next Friday see's me hit twenty seven. The party has been organised for Sunday 8th, so if your down, holla at me. We are away at Man City on the actual day. I couldn't bring myself to attend, so I'll make sure the wap is working. We are still up shite creek, but at least we now have a paddle.
Well the Northerners have legged it out to Thailand to attend Les and Liz's wedding. Good luck to them I say, as it's grim up North.
I nearly got a cat last week. But I need to get a cat flap fitted. Not as straight forward as it should be. But I may just get a new bathroom suite instead. I thought Vince was going to come round and give me a price?
I've got a trip to France planned to see my bro. And a trip ooop North to se Tim new place, Southport ... not sure there are enough days in the year. We'll be putting the clocks back soon enough.
Welling lost again tonight. I think they have fucked it up. Shame really, but they couldn't go up. No bleedin' floodlights. Can't get over that one.

My kind of town ...
Well it's about time I came back and said something. That'll be the whole of Feb that I missed out, give or take a couple of days. But I need to step up to the plate. I need to get this thing back on track, in time for my 27th in a months time.
It was a lovely trip to watford on Saturday. Well until the football started. The second half got back on side until poor old Kevin Lisbie fluffed his big chance. I can only feel sorry for him, but you read on the pink oboe list people just slagging him off. Fuk me!!!! He didn't do it on purpose. Give the bloke some slack. Two weeks til the Toon. It's a long and laborious season.
Welling are playing at home at the new Dartford ground tomorrow night. I may take a trip. Unless it rains that is.
As I said it's my 27th in a few weeks. I'm having a party. Now if you want an invite leave me a message.
The Sopranos is on again tonight. It's a pain that it on so late. At least Lost is on at reasonable time ...

Oh
I supposed I needed a rest from doing this. But blogger don't help, when a few times I have come on to write some shite I couldn't log on. Oh well, I'm ere now.
It's Sunday morning, I've done some gardening, and I have Richard Pryor live on DVD. I'm sure some of his material will piss the Pink Oboe list right off. Jason Lee and his "Pineapple" haircut too boot. Remarkable really.
There's no football this weekend. The FA Cup sucks. Especially when you go out in the 3rd round. A week to go to the Wet Sham match. It's going to be a long game. I can't wait to see Merv patrolling the line again. Yea really.
It's been a troubled time down at Park View Road. Graham Hobbins sadely passed away and they've lost a couple of league games. Down to 5th ... but they need to keep on keeping on. Believe and you will achieve. Hows that for a Pards comment!
I have to say Richard Pryor is funny. Proper funny.
I stayed up to watch the Audley Harrison fight last night. Oh well, that'll be that then.

Time
I can't believe that it was Sunday when I last updated this!!!!!
Strange how time flies ...
I got down to Northfleet to see the Wings dispose of Tamworth. They have Worcester City at home on Saturday, and by all accounts never beat them. Not even in the good old Southern Lague days of John Bartlett. Worcester deserve a good shoeing in return for their moaning about the day of the match. Bleedin' Northerners.
Charlton got a good draw at Bolton. But you all know that. With a few new faces to bolster the team it could be an interesting run in. But then again if Sheffield keep winning it may not. The 3 points we lost to them could come back to haunt us, as well as the 0-0 against Watford, and the 3-2 lose to Wigan. Ho hum ...

It's been a long week ...
Finally I've been able to settle down and maybe write something. It's been a hectic week at work. I've not had a second to myself, but that's good. Come the evenings the last thing I've needed is to sign in, long on and right this shit. Well I'm here now, and I've got the text saying we've just signed "Magic" Bougherra. Time will tell if he's any good, but at least he's been here a year or so. Poor old Souleyman is what I say. Let's see if Pards plays Bougga at right back on Tuesday or in the Centre given it's Kevin Davies. It's Bolton, so don't hold your breath.
So Shilpa won Big Brother. I had it on, in between flicking. I have to say Davina is at the cutting edge as an interviewer!!!!
Well Welling United are top of the Conference South for at least a week. I still follow the Wings progress, and it appears they have been doing quite well. I haven't got down there this season, yet ... in part not wanting to put a mockers on their good run. I always turn up and it goes tits up. But I may go to Gravesend on Tuesday to see them play Tamworth in the Trophy. I say I may do, but it's dependent on what time I get out of work. Watch this space.
I've decided to decorate my bathroom. I'm not sure if I want to tile the lot or paint it white? Decisions. I may have to run it past Vince. Maybe I could get it tiled for a good price. Maybe tiled and painted ... mix and match.
It's dawned on me that it's been a long time since I had a good moan. The trains, rucksacks ... garlic breath, people in general. But have you noticed how loads of people still drive whilst on their phones. But not only drive, start doing manouvres. Thre point turns and stuff. It's quite unbelievable really. The actual standard of driving is shocking. It seems any sod can pass the test these days.

Remarkable
Should I comment about the Union between England and Scotland being 300 years today. Yeah, nay ... well happy birthday Craig, Debbie and Woody.
It's been a couple of days since I was last on. Work is full on. It's actually quite good to be busy all day. The days shoot by. I even grabbed 30 minutes for lunch today. Hurrah ...
Oh I was going to try and pen something about the ADDICKS current plight. But I've been reading some emails from the pinkoboe list and I'm all hung out. I can't believe that people are still hanging onto some hope of getting out of the shite. I'm actually shaking my head. We are at a crossroads, and we need to hope that the board don't go off on one like they did this summer. They need to start planning now. We need to try to offload JFH and Big Bent. Rommadhal can as they say fcuk off, Ambrose can pack his bag back to East Anglia, and we need to get some young hungry players. In fact I think they should let JFH go now, bring back James Walker from Orient and put him in the team and leave him there. Just tell him not too worry and just play. We need to get Gislasson in and around the squad. Get Walton in front of the back four. Only what I think.
I just turned on Celebrity!!! Big Brother. I turned it straight off. Rubbish.
Shameless, you have to laugh.
Oh, one for Cooksley ... England won a game of cricket. Bloody hell. They made hard work of it though.
David Beckham ... oh it's not funny.

Idiot
How many times did Beckham say "soccer" in his many interviews. Fuck off. It's Association Football, and he should have been using this term. Brand Beckham is off to LA and it's nothing to do with the money. It's about coaching and putting something back into the game. What an idiot!!!! He hasn't won fuck all, he hasn't done anything .. it's money, money .. MONEY.
England lost the cricket again. Pieterson is also out ... it's not even funny. Well it is.
Is it me or is all this shite about Liverpool just that. At what point are they a club in termoil? Termoil, Jesus H.
It's Boro tomorrow. Bothered. Not really. A bit of brekkie, tea at the Mooleys and then 90 minutes of pain. Hmmmmm ....
I'm glad it's the weekend ...

Thatcher, thatcher ... milk snatcher
That was the text message I got this morning as I waited in the bank. I realised at once that Margaret wasn't PM any more, so it would have to be about Ben. It didn't take long for me to put 2 and 2 together. About half hour later I had a texted from the club. They had agreed a fee with City. Oh well ... that's as good as it gets!!!!
It seems we have to get a lot of the muppets out. Pards wants them out. I'm not really sure what Dowie actually saw in them, but hey what do I know.
Kelvin McKenzie is on Question Time. Quite unbelievable. I think he does believe his own shit?
Anyway I was trying to work out if Iain Dowie actually knew who or what he was buying? Is or was Djimi Traore and Amady Faye last minute recruits because there was no one else, or did he really want them? Jesus.
I've read that the nights have been warmer than those nights in July!!!! Do they mean July nights in Antarctica? It's freaking cold. What are they on about?
Kelvin McKenzie what a twat!!!! What a complete and utter twat!!!!

Mondays
That was hard this morning. The alarm woke me, I stumbled towards the kettle, it was the first working Monday in 2007. At the same time last week I was spinning on the wheels of steel. Ho hum.
So we are out of the FA Cup in 2007. An inept performance against Forest and still no away success. It's getting a tad boring now. Just one win would do it, just a little 1-0, nothing spectacular like. Anyway Forest got Chelsea away, so I'm not that fussed.
ZZ has finally turned up. But don't expect him to have any input for at least 4 weeks. He had a long flight and his standard ain't up to much. He'll go the way of Pouso (who I hear you cry!!!!)
I actually did a bit of tidying up this weekend. Six black bin bags of crap, and about 10 off stuff going to Oxfam. I couldn't even be bothered to ebay it. Just get rid.
When do the clocks go back? I'm fed up with this darkness. I want long balmy nights.

Rain
The weekend is finally upon us and the heavens open. I'm sitting here as the rain bashes against the window. Have I got an umbrella? No. Have I got my big coat? No. Ho hum is what I say.
The transfer window is upon us. Curbs is signing everyone, left right and centre. Boa Morte, Smertin, Hartson, Upson, Lineaker, Maradona. We get Reuban Agboola. It's the FA Cup tomorrow. The bleedin 3rd round and I don't appear to be that bothered. It's a shame really. Can't get up for the occasssion. Scotty Carson can't play!!!!! Oh so that's him back to Liverpool then.
The Ashes were lost then. 5 big ones to nil. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it. Three balls I watched last night. Three balls it look Pieterson to nick one. Oh well. It was interesting listening to Botham and Hussain this morning. They were taking exception to a Steve Harmiosn interview. I had actually seen the interview myself, and couldn't believe what he was saying. When asked what he would be doing when he got home, as there is 5 months before the next test he replied "I don't know." He doesn't know!!!!! Oh, keep yourself fir Stevie, lay off the pies, maybe practice a bit of bowling down the nets in Durham Highstreet. Not that hard is it?

Another day ...
Until the end of the week, and a lie in. I really struggled to get in this morning. Three days into a new job and the strain is taking hold. Cheers for the heads up on the best sandwich bar locally Tel.
I tuned into Celebrity BB last night and soon tuned right out. I'll be watching the Hogfather tonight me thinks.
Oh I've just seen that Osei has had his red card disciplinary hearing at the FA. THe suits decided it was all a waste of time and have increased his ban by 100%. Quality. I can just see Jose over at the FA and them telling him it's a waste of time and Terry will be banned for 8 games not 4. Ho hum. At least Pards got off.
Did I say it's only Thursday!!!!! Jesus.

Time on my side
So here I am. It's 10:50 and I can finally settle down to write something. It's been a long couple of weeks. Leaving one job after 4 years and starting in another part of London is quite weird. Football, was weird over the Chrimbo break, even up to the Arsenal experience last night. It's quite easy to be an Arsenal supporter. Middle class Urbanite, with a few bucks in your pocket. You weren't there netween 53 and 70 were you? Idiots.
James Brown finally passed away. I actually saw the Godfather back in November. Little did I know. I remember him flirting up there with the Sugar Babes, who didn't know what the fcuk was going on. Respect.
Celebrity Big Brother!!!!! No thanks.
I'm actually working up by Oxford Circus now. That's different from Aldgate I tell thee. So many people. I only want to get a sandwich.
Jocelyn Brown and Alexander O'Neil .... quality. Thery are on now, BBC1 ... Just the two of us. Stick that in your pipe. There's scope there for a Southport duet, surely?
The cricket is still on. It's a bit of a lame duck in reality, but it'll be 5-0 in about 8 hours. My

Well another year is coming to an end. I won't be on line for the next few days as I get my head round a new job. It's going to be strange.
I'm relaxed, maybe a tad too relaxed. The break has passed me by and it will be back to the grind in a few days. Oh well.

It's been a few days
A belated Happy Christmas to you all.
I've had a weird few days, away from the t'internet, and a PC.
I got the text on Christmas Eve telling me about Pards and I wish him and Lucky Les all the best. I watched the Foolham game, well the second half on TV. I just couldn't move myself to head down to watch it in person. I'm not sure if I should have been bothered, but that as Frank once said that .. is life.
I'm heading back out in a minute so I'll write something worthwhile in a day or so.

Merry bleedin Christmas
Dear Friends,
With Christmas almost upon us, I'd like to extend my heartfelt
appreciation to all of you who have taken the time and trouble to send
me "forwards" over the past 12 months. Thank you for making me feel
safe, secure, blessed and healthy.
Extra thanks to whoever sent me the email about rat crap in the glue
on envelopes? Because I now have to go get a wet towel every time I
need to seal an envelope. Also, I scrub the top of every can I open for
the same reason.
Because of your genuine concern, I no longer drink Coca Cola because I
know it can remove toilet stains, which is not exactly an appealing
characteristic.
I no longer check the coin return on pay phones because I could be
pricked with a needle infected with AIDS.
I no longer use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a
water buffalo on a hot day.
I no longer go to shopping centres because someone might drug me with
a cologne sample and rob me.
I no longer eat KFC because their "chickens" are actually horrible
mutant freaks with no eyes or feathers.
I no longer worry about my soul because at last count, I have 363,214
angels looking out for me.
Thanks to you, I have learned that God only answers my prayers if I
forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five
minutes.
I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl on the
internet who is about to die in the hospital (for the 1,387,258th time).
I no longer have any money at all in fact - but that will change once
I receive the £15,000 that Microsoft and AOL are sending me for
participating in their special on-line email program.
Yes, I want to thank you all so much for looking out for me that I
will now return the favour!
If you don't send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people in the next 7
minutes, a large pigeon with a wicked case of diahorrea will land on
your head at 5:00PM this afternoon. I know this will occur because it
actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbor's
ex-mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's sisters boyfriend's mothers beautician.
Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

Well thats that then
Cue the Charlton email bulletin:
Plenty of seats remain on general sale for Charlton's home Christmas Premiership fixtures against Fulham on Wednesday, December 27th (8pm) and Aston Villa on Saturday, December 30th (12.45pm).
There's a surprise I thought we would have sellouts there. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!
There's been loads of comments/ emails flying about re last nights dire performance. The one that made me laugh contained the line:
They appear not to give a toss. I was told this morning by an East
Stander that M Bent was bollocking Holland for applauding the fans, lovely
eh.
Go on Marcus. Quality. He's had his 200 grand signing on fee. His weekly wage, say 5-10k and a Hollyoaks girlfriend. Not bad for an inept, ineffective forward. Good job if you can get it. If we can we've got to ship him out. Twelve months is a damn long time.
I wore a santas hat to the game last night. It wasn't lucky.
Only two more days at Hatstand. I'm still doing the handover. It's still a bit weird.
If you haven't got anything to do on Friday, how about this!!!!
Oh have you seen the story about the Boy Scout who told Jim Davisdon he was a fn w(b)anker during the matinee performance of his panto in Dartford? No!!!! Bovvered!!!!
So should it be pigs in blankets or devils on horseback with my christmas dinner?
Did I mention that England lost the Ashes!!!!!!! Oh well.

Littlewoods Cup
Or is it the Milk Cup? We've got Wycombe Wanderers tonight and as Lucky Les said "If we beat Wycombe in the Quarter finals we will be in the Semi-Finals". Good call Uncle Les.
I will be going tonight, and I intend to wrap up warm, however I may not stay around for the Extra time and penalties.
I'm doing a handover at work .... I say no more.
It's Kate Jacksons drink up tomorrow and the Hatstand party on Thursday. It's the wine library on Friday!!!!! Not sure when the presents are going to get wrapped.

Marvellous
It was a wonderful day yesterday, drinking, eating with friends only ruined when I decided I wanted to know the Wet Sham score, and switched on the WAP. I only managed a chuckle this morning. Fifteen years huffing and puffing against UManU and they do it in his first game!!!! Jesus H.
My saturday was one of contentment or maybe contemptment. As I sat in the Upper North, I was dreaming of cut priced tickets when Colchester come down next season. I bet we get them away first game of next season!!!! It's a slight distraction tomorrow when we play Wycombe in the League Cup. I say put the lads in, and go for it. Sam, Gislasson, Weston.
It's the last week at Hatstand and it all seems a bit weird. I'm doing a handover and documenting everything I actually do. All very strange really when you try to jot down what it is is part of the job.
The Northern Addick moves into his new mansion today. I should actually call him to make sure it all went ok!!!! Yep just called him, he's hard at it ... they didn't knick the taps ....

North / South divide
I was going to get round to saying something about this. But the Inspector got there first. However I must say that this goes to prove why Gerrard will stay at Liverpool for his whole career and win not very much. Those whinging Scousers, always on about how witty they are, how everyone is against them, well did you see Ken Dodd on the Royal Variety Performance??? He made Stan Boardman look funny.
It's a 12:45 kick off tomorrow. I'd have preferred a 10:00 kick off. Get the whole thing out the way so I can do something constructive for the remainder of the day.
Chrimbo is a week or so away. Blimey I'd better start getting some pressies sorted. The tree went up on Wednesday, although I'd lost the instructions so it was all arse about face. The red lights look good.
Oh and for the Benefit of all the listeners England have fcuked up in the Cricket again. I turned it on to see the last wicket stand between Monty and Stevo but it was all over by then. There's always the World Cup .... not.
Only a week left in the job. I'll have to start packing up all my bits. I'll do that on Tuesday.

Nearly a week
Well that was that!!!!!
A jaunt over to Belgium, a defeat to the Spudz, Welling's floodlights blowing down, Monty getting a fivefor in his first Ashes match. Oh what a week.
Then to cap it all Curbs turns up at Wet Sham, glowing like the proverbial cat that got the cream. He's got Merv and I presume Keef with him, so it'll be same as usual. Just watch Wet Sham gring out a few 1-0's at Everton.
Seems like Les has had his honeymoon. Big Bent and Thomas have got bthe hump that Lloyd Sam is in the team. This is the same Big Bent that has swanned around for nie on 12 months doing what they say in Belgium as Le Fuck All, and the same Thomas that is always ill stroke injured stroke not up for it. 5-1, blimey it doesn't seem like a year since we last lost by that score!!!!
If you have a spare couple of days, take the Eurostar over to Belgium for the Christmas Market. It puts you in a festive spirit. Especially on the way back when the trains are stacked up at Shortlands and you are behind the 10:44 stopping train from Denmark Hill to Claphan North. Totally unbelievable really ... but hey ho I can see the Olympics in 2012 being a cutting edge event.
A bottle of Howgaarden in Belgium is 0.57 cent. Over here in Blighty it's 3 notes. So are we European when it suits?
It's a shy over a week til Big Santa turns up baring gifts. So what have you askied for?

Millwall
I was flicking through one of the free sheets last night and I came across a story about Millwall changing their badge. Now I seem to remember there was abranding issue a couple of years back when the reverted to a white strip and the old badge with lions on a shield. Now it seems the new supporters club want the Lenny the Lion image back. Two choices A and B!!!! They look the same ... so that's ok then.
Its Williams and Harrison 2 tomorrow. I went to the first but am giving it a miss tomorrow. I will be decorating then popping down to see my Mum as it's her birthday. I remember the first being such a let down. We didn't even get to go out after because everyone was so pished off. What a difference a year makes?

Eccles Cake
I've found this shop over Spitalfields that does quality eccles cakes. You know the buttery ones that melt in your mouth. Oh maybe you don't!!! But I have always loved an eccles, as oppossed to a Chorley.
Shame ...
I went out at lunch to confirm numbers for the Christmas drink/ meal on the 17th. There are 30 odd now. So they'll have to section a lil' space in the Pub. It's quality that people are getting off their arrises.
It's H's birthday on the 22nd. I got an email. Bleedin email. What ever happened to texts?????
I've fallen into having Oatso simple instead of Porridge Oats of a morning. If you microwave the oats you get a bowl full of hot oats!!! If you microwave Oatso Simple, you get a bowl of porridge. How does that work?
Welcome back Kins. Mark Kinsella is back as Development Guy Guru. To think he nearly went to Gillingham because we wouldn't pay the fee.

Whoooommmp there it is
Who said football was a funny old game?
Whoever said it was an idiot. It wasn't funny after 91 minutes of last nights game. We'd huffed and puffed like a demented wolf trying to blow the Tower of London down. Blackburn had spoilt their way through the match and were in reality thankful for the point they had got. Thenup steps the ELK. He didn't try and thump it as hard as he could. He sidefooted it round the wall built for Andy Reid. Now at no point did Blackburn expect the ELK to take it. No one else had touched a dead ball. Reid had done it all .. so talk about a clever bit of planning. He side footed the ball round the wall exactly where Micheal Gray had stood and into the middle of the goal. The crowd went wild, well those that were left did. Sod all them muppets that had gone 10 minutes early. You get what you deserve.
Anyway it's upwards and onwards to White Hart Lane. I won't be going, and given the Arse are charging 42 notes I may give that a miss as well. North London muppets. All dogs on string.

Happy Anniversary
Remember, remember the 5th of December. The day Walshy swung his boot and we all rejoiced in being back home. And tonight the Primas take on Blackburn who ruined Curbs last match last season, and always seem to play out of their skin, remember the League Cup match last season!!!! Even Brad Friedle has scored down the Valley. By all accounts we were pants on Saturday. I got a text from Sir Jim saying Hopeless, gutless, crap. A text of the Ginger Blackpool fan saying Ha,ha,ha !!!!! Twat. We were taken apart by Reading then by Sheffield Utd. At what point do people think we are going to get out of the mire? At what point do you think Dennis Rommedahl will suddenly become Zico and Matt Holland Ronaldhino???? They are workman like players, that on their day are ok and on another day are completely shite. I remember jesting as I left the last City Addicks meeting ... "I'll see you at the next meeting in Feb, and we'll still be bottom" Jesting I wasn't. I fel sorry for the fans who think Darren Bent is the savior. We'll be relegated he'll be off and that will be that. Jim bob had it right at the Everton game. We can all burey our heads in the sand or start planning for a drop in the division. Pin point the players that we need. Get a couple of old heads, get Myhre in the team and get him playing for next season, blood a few of the youngsters for next seasons battle, and lets look this relegation in the eye. Yep money wise we'll be fucked. But what can we do? You can't make a silk purse out of a pigs ear. Realise, and it will come.
Oh and I turned the TV on this morning and England had thrown away the Ashes. 126 all out!!!! Quality. They only had to bat out a couple of sessions and it would have been a bore draw and onto the Gaba. But oh no, Shane Warne is back to his brilliant best, and McGrath gets back in the groove. The facts are that England let themselves down.

It's Blackburn tomorrow, but you know what .... we're doomed I tell thee, doomed.

Kings of Upton Park
Well I got to Tower Hill and waited last night. Waited and waited ... about 20 freaking minutes. Upton Park here I come. I was off to see the FA Youth Cup Third Round. I got there at 5 to 7 there was one turnstyle open and a long que of kids. Two stewards kept asking if people had tickets!!!!! I ask you. Finally they said if you had the correct money you could go round the side. So clutching my three pound notes I did that. I took my seat at 5 past.
Well both teams huffed and puffed and failed to blow the house down. I sat there and drunk my cup of PG tips. I spoke to Sir Bobalot on the phone about the merrits of Youth football, and after 90 minutes with the score 0-0 and another 30 minutes looming, I buggered off. I had a turkey stirfry waiting in Leytonstone.
I found out this morning that the mighty Addicks had won 1-0 with a scorcher in Extra time. Well done boys.
I've just been getting all the tunes ready for New Years Eve. A proper Disco Inferno. Just found few Trammps tunes, some Tom Moulton Mixes and some corkers by Patrick Adams. Could be a good one.
I may have some news tomorrow .. so watch this space.

London Lite
Now I've been reading this paper since the Standard priced itself out of the market, and the London Lite gave me a half hour read on the way home. This is the paper that put "The King of Sweden" on it's pages and generally looks at different blogs/ sites on a daily basis. However what I have noticed recently is the amount of blogs written by single (and I won't say simpleton) women and their quest for sex stroke a relationship. It is quite amazing. Last nights edition had some sucka chatting about not being able to get a fella in London. It's the London way of life that makes it difficult. Nothing about her being a munter, crass, with a personality of Fred Wests wife. Yeah it's everyone elses fault. Jesus H, take some responsibility, go and get your teeth fixed, maybe have a facial, buy some deodorant and don't drink so much red wine that you end up with a nose like Alex Fergusons.
And they all seem to be Northerners who want to come to make their fortune and then bugger off to have babies. Well as DX say, I have two words for you ...
Bugger Off ...

Long way back ....
Did you see the pictures of Freddie shaking Ricky Pontings hand at the end of the test? What a scruffy boy. A blue singlet, unkept hair and tatoos. Ponting was resplendent in his blazer. Tells you something.
I'm trying out the Waterloo and City line tonight. I've never needed to before but I need to get over to Waterloo to get my Eurostar tickets. So as I'm in the City it makes sense. I'm told it gets really
I've only had one cup of tea today ... blimey. Must crack on.
I'm thinking about going to Upton Park tomorrow to see the FA Youth match. I haven't seen the kids play in years, so it could be quite good. I remember going to an FA Youth Cup match at Maine Road between City and Utd back in the day.

Kevin Pietersen
It was about 12:05 this morning when KP threw in the towel. He chipped it to mid on and that was that. It's a funny game that cricket, but at least it went into the fifth day.
In relation to football, I witnessed total ineptitude on Saturday. First from Charlton, who were pish poor then from Everton, who had a bloke tie up his lace when Charlton were attacking. If the ELK had done that he would have been run out of dodge. It was poor though.
I've been watching I'm a Celebrity but don't really understand the concept. Surely these people aren't celebrities? Toby Anstis!!!! Myleene Klass!!!! Matt Willis!!!! Blimey O'Reilly????
I saw my first house of the year with decorations up yesterday. Very understated but decorations none the less.
Picture this. It's 6:45 the alarm goes off. I put on the TV and the news says that Network Rail have made a profit. Their first since inception in 2002. They continue with the astonishing fact that 9 out of every 10 trains run on time.
Fast forward to 8:15 ...
There I am at Hither Green waiting for the 8:19. At 8:20 they announce a platform change that causes a scrum and people launching themselves at the stairs. We cram on the 8:19 an 8:25 and I get off at London Bridge. I cross the platform to get a train to Cannon Street and am met with the 8:17 train coming in at 8:42. So is it me that attracts late trains ... or have Newtwork Rail lied?????
A thousand notes a year rocks, doesn't it?

Creeeeckit ....
There I was this morning ... 2 am as the first session came to an end. What was all that about I thought!!!!! It's been hype all the way, but please how crap have Harmy and Giles been. Anderson wasn't much better and it's all down to Freddie. I woke up at 6:45, by 7:10 there were 3 wickets down!!!!! Well that's the Ashes for another 2 years. Get them at Trent Bridge and we may (see I said WE) be in with a shout.
Now I have Sky + it's quality having Sky in the bedroom. I was able to go to bed at 8 and flik last night. Now that was a sight.
I've had a few Chrimbo party invites come through already. It's still only 24 November, and there are trees up, cards being sent and parties ready. Blimey, I know I've qrapped a few pressies but come on.
On a side note, 02 are proper crap, and the white chocolate phone is not too far behind.
I've been doing a bit of searching on Soul Train now this is how it should be.

Blimey
It's Thursday, and all is well. Just back from the Hogs head, half a bottle of red and a veggie burger. Rock on.
It's football on Saturday ...12:freakin' 45 kick off. Oh well, can't wait.
I've just realised I get up in the dark, go home in the dark .... it's just always dark. Could I have SAD disease, or is that Freddie Flintoff?
I watched the first 30 mins and last hour of the first day today. I have to say England were abysmal. They have no chance. I'll watch some more tonight .... Gilo in front of Monty, he's havin' a laff.
I finally got round to watching the second episode of Lost last night. Quality is all I can say, quality.

2012
Well pardon me for passing an opinion but it looks like the Olympics is going tits up for us Londoners. It seems it will be us, yes us Londoners who will be forking up for the 1-3 billion pounds short fall. Us Londoners who will have our hands in our pockets so they can build those Olympic traffic lanes around our city, they can build an Olympic Sized swimming pool, and piss half of the East End off. It's quite funny how the VAT wasn't originally costed in, supposedly ... and how all the costs have suddenly escalated. Surely they should have written in high costs and then wowed everyone when it came well within budget!!!! Or is that my way of thinking?
The thing is when it comes down to it, just watch every muppet from Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield come and get the bleeding tickets. I bet there won't be a ticket to be had for anything, not even the formation dancing bobsleigh. It's bollocks all of it.
Oh one minute Sir Chris of Powell is coming back as the third coach!!!!! Then he isn't. Shouldn't they go for Morts? That's what Lennie said.
It's time to get a better Broadband deal. Now the question is does wireless actually work? Answers on a postcard.
I've got a Raspberry Krispy Kreme to go with my cup of tea this afternoon. I may have to go do it now.
One for Sir Bob of Jim, did you see Michael Richards in his racist rant!!!! Well I've burnt all my Seinfeld DVD's. Only in America.

An Essex Whine ...
Lakeside noveaux rocks.
It's been a busy few days, busy doing nothing.
Luckily I didn't go to Reading on Saturday. Gerry got me out of jail there. By all accounts it was woeful. I think that many of our lot went there expecting the season to take off. I think the reality check kicked them right in the bollocks. I got a few text whilst I was walking round Lakeside, and it wasn't good. I was happy to be in TK Max as oppossed to the Madjeski.
I got to see the Borat film on Friday. The Stratford Roxy isn't much cop, but the film fitted into the surroundings. There were a few belly laugh moments, and a few cringes. The fight was spot on.
The Sky plus malarky is kicking in. I saved Lost, RAW, Match of the Day, the David Haye fight ... and I still haven't got round to watching the damn things. I'll have to do it this evening. Between some ironing.
It's nearly Christmas. I know because I was wrapping some pressies last night. Yep, I have bought some Christmas presents and have wrapped them and put them under the tree. Well I would if I had put the tree up, but its the 21st November, so I've got a few weeks before the tree goes up.
What does everyone want for Chrimbo then? Three points!!!!!

Wind and rain
I've just been blown from pillar to post. In an ideal world that would be a good thing.
Well a pleasant evening was had by all last night at the City Tavern as Lennie and Johnny H were given the third degree about Monica. It was quite funny, especially the David Whyte kung fu story.
Thanks to Gerry I won't be at Reading. He didn't get the tickets in time ....
It's Children in Need tonight. I just want to see the Celebrity Scissorhands people. Steve Strange, I ask you.
I've just booked the Office Christmas Party. Thai Square it is.

Complete
Well my life is now complete, Sky plus is on the go. I've put it off, and put it off, but yesterday I had it fitted and I'm pausing stuff for the sheer fun of it. Adverts, you're having a laugh.
I also popped to the doctors yesterday. I've had a few aches and paines and thought as I was off, I'd pop along. After half an hour wait, I was first in the queue I was in with the Doc for about 3 minutes. I told her my symptoms and she agreed and sent me packing!!!! The NHS, quality.
Bleedin Gerry didnt come up with the tickets to Reading. It was sold out. Ask someone to do something and you are always left waiting. It's not a difficult thing to do!!! So it looks like decorating, or Borat on Saturday.
The ashes starts in a week. Poor old Tresco.
It's the City Addicks meeting tonight. That should be a giggle.

Beep, beep ... text
Well you wouldn't have seen that one coming. Sitting outside the Yoga place, contemplating the traffic through the Blackwall tunnell and I got the text. Charlton and Dowie have parted. Now we only have 2 wise monkeys. Hmmmm. The news started trickling through on Five Live. They spoke to Leroy Roisenior who said, it was a strange one, to Tommy Doc, who said very strange, Alan Hansen who thought the move strange!!!! So then, that'sll be a strange move from Minty and the board, they have no idea what they are doing and have just thrown a wobbler. I doubt it.
I got home and Rob Lee was on Sky Sports News. Rob Lee!!!!!!!! He was playing for us when Lennie was boss, so he knows what's going on. He thought it very strange (that word again) and that the new man would be under so much presure. The new man???? Hoddle, Twaddle or Waddle ... diamond lights my a$$.
The emails are flying about, some people aren't happy with the board, but per-lease. Let them manage our football club, let's trust their judgement. They got it wrong and so have had the balls to do something about it.
The funniest thing about all this was the appearance of the Orangemeister himself Si Jordan, to give his thoughts on something that didn't or infact doesn't concern him. I don't blame Sky, but the fat one sits there and talks about gutless , faceless people. Well, how big is that queue now waiting to give him a smack?
It's Lucky Les now anyway, and there will be a big vat of soup winging it's way to Reading. Ho, ho ... I can't wait.

City Addicks this Thursday
I did say that I would mention it ... and it's got to be better than me harping on about Wigan ...
Despite the unfortunate incident of the club arranging an event the same evening of the scheduled City Addicks meeting, the City Addicks committe can confirmation the guests will be Lennie Lawrence, plus one popular ex-player from the late 80s-early 90's era.
The Q+A will be held at the regular venue, the City Tavern, 29 Lawrence Lane, London EC2V 8DP. It is just a couple of minutes walk from both Bank and Mansion House tube (map below)
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=532432&y=181212&z=0&ar=Y
We meet in the main bar from 5.30 - 6pm, before moving upstairs for a 6.30pm start. The City Addicks is not part of the supporters branch network, or linked to any particular group. It is simply an informal gathering of Charlton fans young and old, to have a few drinks, ask questions and share old tales with former players and managers. As a result, it is probably the most laid-back of the cafc / supporter gatherings. Lennie is driving up from Bristol to be with us. It is really important given what has happened that we get a good turnout for the event, so we are asking all Charlton fans to please try and make the effort, and encourage as many others to do so.
Thanks
So come on let's be aving you

Weekend
I can't believe that a week ago I was in Blackpool stroke Southport. A week is a long time in show business. It was sunny and I had mostly been eating bacon and eggs.
It comes around every 6 months, and it's quality. You can't beat Southport as an event. The peeps, the music, almost everything. Even Ginger.
It's Wigan away tomorrow. It's funny how my need for football has diminished. The JJB is a stadium I haven't been to but I don't feel the urge. Sod that, I'd prefer to wap the score up. I think it's the journey home that does it.
Roll on 5:30.
It'sd Claires birthday today, so I had to share a bottle at lunch time. I'm a tad squiffy at the mo, but that's the way to live your life.
I was thinking about cleaning the car tomorrow. Or more to the point, getting the car cleaned. It's been 6 months!!!!! Maybe a valet would work as well.
I've just been watching some old boxing highlights on YouTube. The Benn/ McClellan fight. Roy Jones Jnr and James Toney. It's all there. Even Charlton stuff ... now that's quite sad.

Things that make you laugh
I read this today and it made me chuckle ... It could have been me, ooohhh yeah
1. Meander-thals. Everywhere I go, people seem to be getting in my way. However, on further inspection, they aren't going anywhere until they see me. Then they want to get there sharpish. I think we now need walking licenses. You can't walk on a public pavement until you have passed your walking proficiency.
2. Window-seat-aphobics. Get on any mode of public transport and you'll see these bastads. They sit as far away from the window as possible then frown when you want to get past. What's the problem window freak? Scared someones gonna sit on your colostomy bag?
I'm just having a nice cup of tea and an eccles cake. It's all about the finer things in life. That's why I'm wearing tweed.
I saw Graham Poll was at it again last night. It was never a penalty, so McFadden got what he deserved. Have you heard the latest about the Terry sending off. It made me laugh.

Onwards mad erm,
Well talk about overcome the odds. A Tuesday night in Derbyshire and I was expecting us to roll over and die. Twoo minutes in ... seems like I can call it. Supporting Charlton isn't an easy feat. I listened to part of it on BBC Five Xtra. They do like to talk the underdog up, but how many chances did we missin Extra time? Blimey, Dowie even got abuse from some peeps in the crowd. Things are looking up.
I did some ironing last night. I could do three weeks ironing if I wanted. Have I got too many clothes?
I've just read that Miss Great Britain has been stripped of her title, for wait for it .. getting her lulllies out. A glamour model, maybe Page Three ... now there's a surprise.
It's getting colder. Time for the big coats.
It's Christmas Coffee time at Starbucks!!!!!!!!!!!! Eggnog latte anyone? Seems a tad early, but hey money is money.
I'm just about feeling myself again after the OoOP North experience. It's actually good to catch up with people, and see them get older every 6 months. It's a shame that Woody got scared out of going.

It's a Northern Thing ....
It's off to Blackpool tonight. Rock on .... that is if Wendal gets his ass in gear.
Then it's Southport tomorrow, 3 days of hell!!!!
I'm missing another game on Saturday. That's two in quick succession, what with the Arse playing when I was on my holibobs. Can't they arrange thgese games with us supporters in mind!!!!! One answer ... NO.
I just hope it's not too cold up North tomorrow. I've only got a small wee jacket.
Have you noticed how all the postage costs seem to have doubled in price. I sent a package to fay and was charged 7 notes!!!! I remember when it used toi be tuppence.
Oh, I twatted my foot against the cupboard last night and my pinkie has ballooned. I'm using freeze spray but it still hurts. Now I know what Gary Lineaker feels like.
Blimey the West Indies only went and won their Semi.

So how comes a 10 minute journey takes 30 mkinutes when you need it to take 10 minutes. Every other bleedin day when it doesn't really matter, it sails through. This morning, stop start, stop start .... blimey.
Don't dark nights make the days long.
Barcelona/ Chelsea what was that all about!!!!!
Oh it's Southport this weekend, a good blow out. It will be good to see Timbo this weekend. Luckily half my clothes are being driven up there .... yeeee ha.
I'm a tad late with this today .... oh well off home now.
